A range of workshops to engage young minds.
An ego centred world of self-satisfaction has left a generation constantly dissatisfied and disappointed. These sessions will allows us to focus on the positives in life to culminate an authentic attitude of gratitude. This is the key ingredient to living a more content and positive life where obstacles and responsibilities are embraced rather than ignored.
Determining Self Value
Today’s confusing times have resulted in many teenagers having dangerous flawed judgments of self-worth with no idea where it is coming from. Exploring these from a Muslim perspective will clarify these misconceptions and strengthen our understanding in this area.
Honouring Good & Encouraging Manners
With everything becoming more and more relative, even common virtues such as truth and patience are now being redefined. This retreat will establish what those definitions truly are and how universal virtues are not simply necessary but also vital to maintain healthy balanced lives and relationships.
Our interactive activities will give everyone the chance to discover what their natural strengths and beauty truly is, leading to a more confident and able young adult.
Motivation & Inspiration
With a team of professionals from a wide range of backgrounds who have also dedicated their lives to studying and learning, along with a wealth of experience, our team will not just provide the stories to inspire but will be living examples of inspiration and potential. All that a budding teenager needs for guidance and growth.
Got some questions? Have a read of the FAQs.
1Is the retreat segregated?
All the accommodation will be segregated. All outdoor activities and meal times will also be segregated. Some of our workshops may be mixed but we are an organisation that always promote moderate and sensible etiquette around the opposite gender.
2Is there any sibling discount?
The price for only the first 40 places is £125, for both individuals and siblings. The price thereafter is £150 for an individual, however for siblings (actual siblings, not relatives or friends) it is £140 each.
3Can parents attend/visit?
Unfortunately, we cannot allow parents to attend due to safeguarding rules. However, you can keep yourself updated by following us on Instagram and Facebook, where you can view daily photos and clips from the retreat.
4Is the food halal?
5What if my child can’t attend, will I get a refund?
In the unfortunate event of non-attendance, we will be unable to offer any refunds once you have booked.
6Do you cater for specific dietary requirements like allergies?
Yes, we will try our utmost to cater for everyone that specifies a dietary condition. In the unlikely scenario that we are unable to do so, we will let you know as soon as possible.
7What are the sleeping arrangements?
The venue accommodation is like any classical residential centre. Dormitory style sharing rooms, with multiple beds.
8Will the children need to bring any items with them?
A detailed breakdown of all the important information for the residential, including items to bring/not bring, will be provided to all registered students closer to the time.
9Can I pay by installments?
We would love to facilitate this but unfortunately this is not possible, so all payments are made in full, up front.
10Is the transport provided included within the cost? If so, where will it be from?
Yes, transport to and from Birmingham is included for all enrollees. Further details including the pick-up and drop off points will be provided to you closer to the time. If you are unable to get your child to Birmingham on the day of departure, then you will need to arrange their transportation to the venue.
11My child is slightly out of the 12-17 age range, can they still come?
We generally have a strict age policy due to the content that we cover. However, for this retreat, we are allowing youth aged 11 years old to enrol - but only if they will be going into Year 8 of secondary school this coming September. If your child meets these requirements they may enrol.
12Is there any option for 1-2 night registration/day visits if we can’t do the full weekend?
We are sorry but this isn’t possible. For this retreat, only the full stay is available. If your child is unable to enrol for whatever reason, then do keep a look out for our regular youth events on our website and social media pages.
